Alberta build

Hi everyone, figured I should finally sign up since I visited the site enough while researching this huge project. Last year I trade my 06 f150 for a 98bluebird 3800 series +Cash. Currently I'm just about done with grinding the rust off the metal interior floor. Hopefully I'll be able to tackle the outside and finish up the floor once the weather straightens up. Anybody in Alberta have experience with the insurance and registration. Think I have the registration part down. 1. Change color, remove stop sign, flashers, strobe light and get a inspection.
2. Have a sleeping spot, cooking spot, cleaning spot, toilet... For RV status
Than I will attempt the insurance

Your best bet here in Alberta is take the Vin to an independent agent and have them look around. Too much information up front is not always a good thing.
I have house , car , classic car insurance through intact and they wouldn’t touch my bus.
Aviva through an independent did and I am going on 5 years with them.

What did you tell Aviva about the plans for it or usage

It was some time ago but I believe we discussed a personal vehicle for private use and was being turned into a camper.
If I remember correctly intact would not touch it the minute I said it would be modified.
However , please note I have a ford van cutaway bus. The vin will be read much more with forgiveness than yours may be as it could be considered a van.
Hunt around with a broker , someone will insure it.
I am out by Strathmore and go to Lake Newell by Brooks a couple times a year.
