I am a new member here. I am working on my first Bus Conversion. I am glad to see so many converting these great machines. I have just traded my Harley for a 1990 International 3800 12 window bus (I know it’s an odd trade). The bus has a DT360 Engine and an AT545 tranny. I know this combo is common and not the best drivetrain. I will be working to bulletproof the tranny and get some efficiency from it. I do have an extensive mechanical background. I started as a kid working restorations on Multi-fuels and Cummins engines on military vehicles. I joined the Navy at 18 and became a Submarine mechanic (conventional side). After I was retired I became a Diesel Test Engineer for a Ship Building Company. I am currently a Warranty Engineer for this same company. This should be a fun ride. Our Bus is named "(STR8 CRAZY)". It kinda fits with our life and our 6 kids. I am glad to join such a great community.
