Any other women doing conversion?

Hi, I'm Jessi and I just bought a 91 Bluebird b700F turbodiesel. I've wanted to do a conversion for a few years, since helping an ex bf with his (he's on here somewhere). When the chance came around to buy a great bus for not much money I jumped and now I'm elbow deep. My goal is to do this conversion as beautifully as possible for the least money possible. I'm going to salvage parts and materials and make the space cozy and welcoming. Fireplace, shower, composting toilet, a bunk for my daughter and a beautiful mural on the outside. I'm taking the seats out now, will tear up the rubber and install the floor so I can get things rolling!!

Just curious how many women are here doing their conversions. I'd like to be plugged in to a badass community of skoolie women!

There are a few (WanderWoman comes to mind) but far more teams than single people I think. We've met a bunch of skoolie folks and I'm surprised to find very few single people and a lot of happy couples working together.

Anyway this community is awesome and everyone here is friendly and helpful so let's all build our buses!

PS - We were just in your town a couple days ago, rolling east.

I did mine by myself, a one man show. But yes the norm I have seen is couples. I always wonder out of all the social media and youtube stuff out there. How many follow all the way though make it though the conversion and live in the bus as planed for say over one year. vs getting overwhelmed and sell during conversion or sell it right after it's done.

single female skoolie here... got help rippin out seats but the rest is solo project for me...I am not going to be traveling in mine so this helps with not having to deal with engine type issues... It is a retirement space for me on property I bought.... seats are now out and am moving forward... wander woman was encouraging and has some great pictures... Good Luck and enjoy the ride

Single skoolie converter here! I'm in Florida, near completion and 9 days out from hitting the road!
There is a Facebook group called 4 wheels and a bra which are all women that have various forms of RVs. The group is run by Missy Miller from the Discovering Us Bus... and there are loads of bad ass skoolie women on there!

That would be awesome! I am planning on doing about 400/day on the way up, and a much slower pace 200-250 on the way back.

That's the neck of the woods we'll be traveling through on our way back from Maine... I have an aunt and cousin south of you in Hendersonville, NC... I will definitely write you in the log book!

hey wander woman... give me a hollar if you are in the maryland area... I live in Ellicott city and have plenty of room to park a bus. Live on the edge of the woods and have nitely fires and such. a short walk on the trails to Historic Ellicott city with great shops, eateris and drinkeries...

How far off i95 are you? I don't know if we'll get that far today. We're just heading into SC.
