considering a shorty

Hi new guy here. I currently have a Bigfoot trailer and am considering buying a short bus and doing a conversion. My thought is this will give me something that has all the features that I want and when something isn't right I will know exactly who to blame. Looking forward to learning from this group on what to look for when buying a shorty bus.

There are a few types of "Shortie" vehicles. There is the shorter version of a full size bus chassis with different setups and there are van chassis shorties and truck chassis shorties.

How much room do you need? Headroom an issue? Gas or diesel powered? How heavy are you going to build it?

Thanks for the reply. I was looking online at wheelchair buses. They look like they have a fiberglass body on them which I like. I have not figured out the diesel/gas or even ford/gm for that matter. We plan to spend about a year building this maybe more if need be. I have my Bigfoot trailer which we will sell once the bus is done.

So the one thing we would like to have is a bed you can walk around. We aren't getting any younger and crawling over each other in the middle of the night to use the bathroom is something we would like to avoid. This is why I wanted to build something myself. At this point I haven't even figured out of this is possible.
