Figured I should introduce myself

While I currently do not have a bus to convert, I'm gathering ideas and wisdom. Hopefully next year I'll have me a nice Thomas.

I'm from Winston Salem, NC and live 30 minutes from the Thomas factory. So Thomas is pretty much mandatory for me.

I'm a transit bus mechanic, more accustomed to working on Gillig and Nova's,
but I'm pretty sure the only major difference is the lighting and stop signs. Other than that I'm almost positive the drive line, brakes, cooling system, etc... are the same.

Hopefully that will help with the conversion.

I'd also like to add that I have Class A license with passenger and school bus endorsements and a valid medical card. While I know that's not mandatory after you get the bus registered as an RV, it sure helps on legally getting it home. So if anyone in my general area needs someone to drive the bus from point A to point B, feel free to ask.
