Finally Bought In!

So after looking around for a couple of years opportunity finally presented itself and I scored a 1990 Canadian Army Navistar with only 44,362km/27,565 miles on it. Paid a little more than I hoped, but the government needs the money to splurge.

Plans are to keep things simple, with proper insulation, getting rid of the windows I won't need, adding wood and propane heat, finding a locker for the rear end, tire chains and a roof rack. After that, who knows?

Cheers!

Looks good

Looking good. Your post didn't say it was a diesel engine or not. For a diesel, your engine will outlast your build!

Yes! Missed mentioning that point. DT 466 with an Allison backing it up. Anyway, it's sitting at an army base a couple of hours away. So I'll be seeing it in person when I pick it up next week. Based on the detailed photos and information from a serving relative who knows the bus, it's in very good shape for the year. Scrape on the side and the rear bumper has taken a couple of knocks.
