Arrow Getting the family on the road!

Hello,

I am new to the school bus conversion idea. I only recently stumbled across it when trying to find an RV that I could fit my family of 9 in. It appears that I would be safer transporting them in a skoolie.

Can anyone tell me where to start?

Can anyone tell me what type of engine and transmission combo I should be looking for?

We are planning on traveling all over the US and Canada. We don't want anything bigger than 60 pax. I think I want a later model for safety and reliability reasons. I would be willing to pay more up front for reliability.

Thanks in advance.

All you are asking for is being currently discussed in threads now. Use the search to find
"places to buy buses"
"best engine/tranny combo."
Go to the UserCP and fill out your profile so we know where you're from and a little about you. It'll be easier to answer your specific questions to your area. You will need to detail to us what your plans are for the bus to determine which one would be best for you. There is a wide variety to choose from.
Keep an eye on the list of Recent Threads to the right for threads that relate to your questions.
