Question Got Married and bought a bus (Oakland, CA)

Hi everyone!

My name is Jonathan and my wife's name is Alexa. Like the title says, we recently got married and bought a bus. We are total newbs to Skoolies and the community... so we decided to join this network to hopefully meet new friends.

The bus is currently located in Sacramento. The original owners were cool with letting us keep it on their property until we get it registered and find space in Oakland where we can keep it...SAFELY.

This is where we need help! After we get this bad boy registered, we need a space to work on it. Does anyone know of a space close to Oakland that can help us out with this? Maybe there is someone out there that is working on a project similar that can assist? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

NIMBY?

American Steel down on Mandela Parkway? IDK if they are there anymore. The original founders left, but maybe they are still doing Burning Man stuff.

Go to The Crucible (don’t call, go down there) and ask people. Maybe something will turn out that way.

Gentrification sucks!

I’m hoping to move to Oakland for a job but the only issue is finding a place to park my skoolie. It’s almost completely built so would be a bummer not to live in it. Would you know anywhere in the area that would allow a mini bus to park. If so would you know rental prices?
