Greetings from an island in the Pacific

Hi everyone!

I'm Kam from Vancouver Island.

I own a 1982, 24 passenger Wayne on the GM B6000 chassis we lovingly call The Beast.

She's not a camper or RV conversion, but she is very modified. I run her as a non profit community service to run folks down island every Saturday to a LARP (Live Action Roll Play) event. (If you don't know what LARP is, think dungeons and dragons mixed with SCA).

She's an old girl and there pretty much isn't anything we haven't touched since I started running her about 4 years ago now.

We just finished a winter project that saw her inside stripped down the the metal, holes and rust repaired, new floor installed, electrical re-worked with modern bells and whistles installed like USB ports for charging phones and reading lights.

We also took one row of seats out and spread out the remaining 10 benches to give more leg room.

A few years ago I also added overhead racks for baggage, etc.

The list of things we have done to her goes on and on, but its a labor of love and a service to the community.

We take a lot of teenagers that are now getting out and active and making new friends, and that's a huge reward.
