Greetings from Columbus - Two New Skoolie Owners

Hi all!

My partner and I have talked about converting a van for years - and a while back actually started reaching out to sellers and seeing a few. Throughout this time - we kept getting drawn more towards buses, and have recently got ourselves a short skoolie.

We're intending to build a road trip / weekend warrior camper. We're not looking to 24/7, but we both work remote and would certainly love the chance to do some longer road trips/work at the same time. We've got family all over the country (neither of us are OH natives, we've done a fair bit of moving around - but love Columbus), and we road trip a lot as it is.

We settled on an 09' Chevy 6.0L Vortex (Gas) shortie (feels strange to call it a short-bus, seems to be certainly on the bigger side of what we were used to seeing). I'll have to post some pics when we start our conversion thread - but I feel confident we got a pretty solid bus. This forum and others were pretty helpful as we figured out what bus was best for us!

Looking forward to getting lost with all the suggestions/guides on the forums here!

Welcome and you're in luck...did you see the other thread in which CadillacKid just today listed his favorite bus repair resources in Columbus? The timing seems like fate...so you're off to a good start.
