Hello all from Big Sky Country!

Hello all. My Bride and I just bought ourselves a 1999 Thomas 3800 with a DT466E engine paired with an Allison transmission. 108000 miles on her. I drove it home from Florence, Montana to Great Falls, Montana and it was too much damned fun! Lol. She ran like a champ! Can't wait to dig into the project and chew the fat with everyone. Thanks for having us.

Welcome Willy! I'm in Missoula and have looked at some of those buses down in Florence. The one's I looked at all seemed like good machines.

This forum is filled with helpful, kind folks. If you have any questions, post away and the bus gurus will chime in with their combined genius. I don't including myself in that guru group, by the way... but I'll chime in anyway!

PM me if you swing through Missoula again - I'm starting to slowly accumulate leftover odds and ends that another skoolie converter may find useful. Here's what I'm trying to offload currently (LINK)

It's good to have another local here! Welcome again and good luck on your conversion!

Oh, and if you post a few more times the site will let you upload pictures. Let's see some pics of that new bus!

Howdy!

Welcome, Willy! Summer Montanan here. We spend the summers at East Glacier Park and the winters travelling around. Just getting ready to make the slow trek back up to Big Sky country!

If you get around to Glacier, give me a shout!!
