Hello everyone! We just bought our bus today :)

I've been lurking for a while, and am excited to finally announce that we just bought our first bus. It's a 1988 Chevy, 48k miles. We're based in Atlanta and can't wait to begin our journey. Please let us know if you or anyone you know has a bus that's similar to ours in size

Looks awesome. Would you mind posting a bumper to bumper length on that thing? I am looking at a similar bus and would love to know.

Those older ones have great front clips. Stylish..

My bus has the exact same body, but it's on an International chassis. Yours looks cooler

What engine is in that thing?

I'll measure tonight, but I believe it's 23 feet

Ah, the Detroit Diesel 6.5l. There are a number of people on skoolie.net with a wealth of experience in working with these engines. I'm not one of them, though

There is a link to my build thread in my signature below.

We've been to two of those! 2012 and 2013, two great years...

No, I've only been once. It was a blast, though! It was also the buses first proper camping trip - well before its current amenities. The entire floor was covered in mattresses and a cooler.. That was about it.

We go to a music festival every year. We've yet to repeat any of them since there are so many to take in! Next year will be an exception, however. Due to our need to stick around closer to home we will be taking in Blissfest again. It's a small festival. You might even say it's cozy
