Hello from Alaska!

Hello! My husband and I recently bought a 40' retired, 2002 Thomas school bus to convert into our home. We are beyond excited about this new adventure. This website has been a wealth of information so far. I just wanted to say hello and thank everyone for the great threads and knowledge here!

Congratulations and welcome.

Where are you located? I lived in Ketchikan for a couple years.

Just last year someone was fixing up a shorty out on the Kenaie. You're not alone.

Nice bus! I'm really liking what I see about the Thomas buses.

I grew up in Fairbanks myself. More power to you for wanting to brave Alaskan winters in a converted bus!

Welcome!! Are you staying in Alaska? Seems to me that you'll have an easier time staying warm than those of us who'll be living in FL trying to stay cool. Will you be hooking up a wood stove?

Thx Jon!
@Tobeamiss- yes! Staying in AK. No wood stove. Propane will keep us warm.
