Hello from all over, right now in the Midwest!

Hey everybody, we are new to skoolie conversions and hope to gain a lot from being part of this forum. We lived in a van before but with no bathroom, shower, or kitchen, it was a hard road of stealth camping.

We are looking into buying a 1989 International diesel with almost 200k miles and giving it our best try to convert it to veggie, solar, compostable toilet, etc. It's already partially converted and we have worked with veggie before. If anybody has any start off advise, we all are ears!

THANK YOU!!!
Ben and Sarah

Make sure you have enough sources for the veggie. I had a hard enough time finding it to keep a Mercedes fueled. A bus will require a lot more.

What part of the midwest you in currently?

Live in Indiana right now in a house but travel to Michigan and Chicago pretty often. Was going to go look at the bus today but it sold. Back to the craigslist drawing board...

From what I understand the international T444 engine is WVO friendly and seem to be pretty common in buses.

Midwest Transit Equipment | New & Used Bus Dealership | Kankakee, South Holland,Swansea, Des Plaines, IL, Whitestown, IN, Marshall, MI, Nixa, MO seems to have some reasonable prices and they have locations in IL and IN I think.

Kerlins in Silver Lake usually have some resonable prices

Oh cool! Your bus looks awesome. Do you use it for vacation or are you a full timer? How many miles/where have you been with it??

I use for vacation and as a base for photo business. I go to Wisconsin quite a bit, went to Tennessee this year, mostly Indiana state parks.

Drop by sometime, PM for address and contact info.
