hello from california

just purchased my first bus
2003 e-350 dually
short bus
4 window
7.3 diesel rwd
plans to make it 4x4/rv
i live near the beach (pismo beach)
i did post pics on the photos tab

Good foundation, but bear in mind converting a RWD to 4x4 could be tricky, as you will likely have to swap the factory independent front suspension to another setup.

Just a thought, GM uses an electrically-controlled IRS-style front differential on newer 4WD applications -- I wonder if Ford uses something similar that could be swapped in to retain the factory front suspension? Will still have to swap spindles and maybe control arms, possibly weld some mount bosses to mount the differential...

Yes it will be some welding cutting and custom pieces to complete the 4x4 swap.

yes, just did that , and transferred the 1994 quigley conversion from our old ambulance to our 1998 E350 srw skoolie.

Most conversions do not cut in the engine cross member. So they have to raise very high to make the pumpkin clear.
