Hello from California

Been checking this site for a year now and am finally neck deep in 2007 short bus build so I figured it was time to join as the questions begin to mount.

Hello! Californian here too (though some would say I'm in the State of Jefferson). There's a lot of Cali hate on this site and it can be a pain to comply with emissions rules and such, but I was born here and keep coming back. We just had a super smooth registration and insurance process for our bus. Good luck with your build!

Luckily live in Jefferson as well so emissions are non existent once I got the smog done. Had to make up a complete BS interior to get past DMV but it worked and we got switched to Motorhome status. Now everything is torn out and the fun is ramping up.

From California as well...down south, but in the High Desert (or maybe Baja Jefferson lol).
I'm doing the same to get my 2007 Nevada bus retitled as a motorhome. Seats out, painted and setting in some plumbing and cooking appliances. Just guessing they won't crawl under the bus to check if everything is actually hooked up...

They didn't crawl under my 91 to look in CA or NM.

No crawling. In fact they didn't even look. I was so pissed I had to say aren't you gonna look at the kitchen knowing full well the plumbing was not working and everything was held together by silicone and a few random screws. She looked to the back and said "cool, you're good" and that was it. went inside and we filled out paperwork. That was back in November.
