Swmboa and I are mid 50 to 60s and we were wondefing if there are any similarly aged people who have gone the skoolie route. Most of the YouTube videos I have watched show these 20 somethings doing this.
We are worried about the work involved in the conversion at my age. Not so worried about the wifes as her health prevents much help.
I turned 65 today. With the exception of gutting it, I plan on building it out myself. Now it does require some skills and a whole bunch of tool the average person doesn't have. I'm not old, I just jumped out of an airplane today, TWICE.
I'm 68 and have done all of it myself, mumsywumsy isn't much inclined to help. Started when I was 62. The 20 somethings want it finished in 6 months, I'll get mine finished someday. For now it's usable and quite comfy. We are enjoying it. I do work on it most days.

I'm 50 and my son is 18. Having some experience is probably a good thing.
