Question Hello From Hamilton Ontario Canada

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to keep the wheelchair access/lift when buying a skoolie? So I can still use my power chair. I`m completely new to all of this but have been dreaming for years and I have decided to "get off the pot" so to speak. Thank you for any advice or help anyone can send my way.

Well, sure!

Your question appears to be so basic that I want to make sure I've got it right. If you buy a bus with a wheelchair lift, there is no requirement to remove it in order to convert the vehicle to RV status, or for any other reason. Most of us remove it because from our point of view it's heavy, bulky, rattles, takes up space and we don't need it. A few of us have adapted one to lift motorcycles or ATVs up into the bus for storage. IIRC there was one guy on here a few years ago who was in a wheelchair and did his own conversion, including adapting the controls to his particular situation. No reason you couldn't do the same.
