Hello from Lübeck in Germany

Hello,
I´m Michael and I own a short Schoolbus for 2-years now.
It´s a 7,50 International/Thomas with a 7.3ltr. Diesel.

It´s ready converted to a Camper and me and my wife had already some good trips in it.
But there are still a lot of things to change - as we bought it converted but not custom-made for our needs, but OK for the first time...
I still have a bunch of Ideas going on for upcoming changes....

I´m happy to have found this Network, looking forward to get a lot of inspiration and support - as well to supply same.

Sorry for my bad grammar and spelling - my english is a bit rusted.....

I´m very much looking forward to become part of the Skooly-family.

Cheers from Lübeck,
Michael

Must be pretty unusual to see such a machine on the roads over there!

Hello and thanks a lot for the welcome.
Yes, it is always funny to see the reaction of the people to my Bus - most of it is a thumbs-up
Two years ago I was travelling in Sweden and realized a car following me for almost 50 Miles and so I stopped. The guy in the car said that he really want to have a look inside and talk to me, we´re friends on facebook since and have a chat at least once a week abt old cars and so on....

Michael- I can't think of a better way to travel around Europe. I was surprised (not sure why) at how big the RV culture is in Germany & France. I was looking hard when we were there for any sign of a skoolie...guess I wasn't looking hard enough. If you don't mind sharing, what were your costs to get it over there & legal to drive? Between which ports did you ship it? SO cool!

Hi again,
@EastCoastCB: Fußball is not my favorite, but if there are Championchips I´m following them.
Yes, RV-Culture is very big in Europe, it´s more and more difficult to find nice and empty places to stay.
For me to travel in a RV/Skoolie is the best way to relax and enjoy holidays and Weekends.
There are just a few Skoolie converted and used as a RV, but to use a Skoolie as a Food-Truck is quite popular nowadays. Think the People don´t know how much fun it could be to travel in a Skoolie...

Hi. I am new to the forum. I just bought an American school bus last week and am looking to get it through TUV. Could you please share your experience with TUV and if you could offer any advice? I haven’t taken the seats out yet or have done anything to the bus because I am unfamiliar of what I have to do to get it certified. I would be very grateful for any information. Thank you.
