Hello from Long Island, NY

Hi there. First and foremost, thank you all for your contributions of experience and knowledge. I am new at this bus thing, but definitely look forward to the experience and this community seems to be a real source of info and motivation for me. Due to the whole covid thing, i have found the need for some personal and professional changes. This has lead to the purchase of a shortie about 1 month ago and abit of a fire drill to move things along. I have done a little work, but had a 2 week delay for Thanksgiving...heading upstate for peace and solitude. I am back at it now and will post some pics as i go along, hopefully pressing me to keep moving and looking for any pointers from those in the know. Thanks for having me🤗 Liz

Is this Liz from Huntington Station on Osage road?!
We have a friend living there. We moved out of NY 19 years ago for the sunshine and affordability of AZ. Things have changed here. Nothing is really affordable. Stay focused on your build and keep at it. Even if you do 30 min of work a day, keep at it and you'll see progress. I am in a massive undertaking of roof raise, welding, engine work, rubber replacement, and other modifications all at once. Sometimes I get overwhelmed but I am seeing great progress. Hope to start the engine later this week from a 2 month slumber.

WOW!!! That sounds amazing. I will not be doing anything of that caliber...wish i had the talent and time. I will be posting pics to the short bus conversion forum as soon as i figure out how too...computer challenged. Thanks for the words of encouragement. Are you posting pics, i would love to follow such an undertaking. I am not from Huntington. My wife and I were in North Babylon and moved to Bay Shore about 10 years ago. Look forward to continued communication. Liz
