Hello from New Mexico, USA

Greetings, and thank you for letting me loiter in your group!
I recently bought a very special bus, and I have big plans for it. I’ve poked around some, but I’ve never seen one like mine- it’s a 1988 Chevy G30 Collins Bus, converted to 4wd with a Dana 44 front axle and leaf springs. It has the factory 350 motor, and TH400 tranny but with an NP205 transfer case added. No rust, never wrecked, relatively complete, clean title. Has anyone seen or heard of one like it? Does anyone know if Collins did the 4wd conversion? The conversion parts are somewhat homemade looking (brackets and mounts). It seems like they’d use off-the-shelf Chevy parts from a comparable pickup, but I haven’t had time to compare (springs and steering gear). Any input would be greatly appreciated, and I’m looking forward to goofing around here!

-Micah.
