Hello, from Portland, OR!

Hey folks! Just popping in to say hello. I've recently (circa, when I learned skoolies existed) found that I've developed a very serious obsession with skoolies and am planning on building one in the very near future. The ultimate goal is to use it like a tiny house, rather than an RV, and escape the rental rat race while I still can (and save a lot of money in the long term).

Anyway. Nice to meet you all. =)

Hi! Also here in Portland, and just working on finalizing the purchase of our bus... hopefully will pick it up next week! We're also planning on mostly using it as a tiny house... although we'll do a little exploring in it. Once we have it built, you'll have to check it out!

Hah! I would *LOVE* to! Maybe we could help each other out? It'll be a bit before I get mine, so it could give me some ideas and some experience and give you an extra pair of hands.

As for my project, before I buy it I'm going to have to figure out where I'm going to put the darn thing, as I currently live in an apartment.

Welcome to both of you. Apparently you've been bitten by the bug. There is no antidote. The only help is to get your feet wet and get5 a bus. Just be prepared for a lot of work. Your plans will change so many times along the way you won't believe it. It will not be quick or easy but the sooner you get started the sooner you will get there. Anyone here will be glad to help.
