Hello from South America

Hello folks.

I'm new in this forum, but not new in the skoolie living and travelling.
I'm the dad of a clown family, we have been traveling through south america the past 2 years untill covid hit us and, well, we sold our Mercedes Benz skoolie (Mercedes benz are real common in Argentina Brazil and Paraguay)

We are expecting our 3rd son in Colombia, our first daughter was born in Argentina and the middle one in Paraguay. I'm paraguayan too and my partner in this crazy living is swiss.

We had to sold our skoolie, as i said, because we though we could fly back "home" (actually home is the road) to give birth to the next child, but well, covid did not let us do it... so right now we are without any bus... However, someday this pandemic stuff will be over and we plan to fly back to Paraguay and get another Mercedes Benz bus to start again...

I'm trying to see and read many of you to get new ideas for our next home with wheels.

Hello and Welcome!

Are there many others wandering the continent like your family?

I would love to take a road trip like you are doing someday.

Actually my dream trip is to travel from the shores Arctic in Alaska or Canada, all the way down through North and South America to Ushuaia. That is a very large and very expensive trip though. Especially getting through Panama/Colombia. Someday maybe.

well yes there are several couples and entire families too, in all sort of vehicules, vw kombis, small skoolies like our "Eugenio" and camper vans or rooftent pickups and so...

to cross panama-colombia is quite expensive... in my experience is cheaper to buy some vehicule in this side, do all the south america and re-sell it to another travelers, and do the same north side, do all canada-mexico and re-sell there...
