Hello from Texas!!!

Hello everyone, I'm brand new to this whole bus life thing, and I'm in the initial stages of sorting out the type of bus I want.

I don't know what engine or transmissions are preferred, so any feedback on that would be awesome.

Additionally, the bus I'm looking for should be a long bus, around 40ft.

I will live full time it, working remotely and traveling around the US.

A strange question, that Google and YouTube didn't turn up on is, is it better to buy a buy from the south or north?

if so, which is better and why?

Thanks and I'm excited for all of this.

I'll be buying my bus in May 2022, as I'll be moving up to Ohio to do the conversion.

What part of Texas are you from? Texas buses have very little rust.

I take it you are purchasing in May 2022?

However I'll be moving to Ohio to do the conversion around May as well.

Welcome Fellow Texan!

Definitely make sure you pay attention to all the door areas of the bus to check for possible bad seals/rust issues. Just bought a bus from the Dallas area and found a ton of rust due to a leaky handicap door. Had I been more observant I would have realized it was going to be more then I had originally thought!
