Hello, from the Newbiest Newby there could ever be

Good morning! I haven't yet started my Skoolie journey. Well, I guess I did. I've been researching and just signed up for skoolie.net. But I haven't bought a bus yet. My goal is to find out everything I can before I buy a bus, so that I make sure I buy the right kind. I LOVE projects. LOVE! My son is in the Navy, and we have been discussing a skoolie conversion for him, since he is going to be on a ship pretty frequently for the next 4-20 years. I figure he can live in it while he is on shore, then store it when he is away. When he gets married it can be a vacation on wheels! My dad converted a short bus when I was in my early 20's. I was already married so I didn't get to participate in the conversion. I'm ready to do this!

Welcome !

What a thoughtful idea ! That would make great housing while Stateside.

I just sold a M931a2 semi tractor to Officer who lives in a 5th wheel and uses his housing allowance to pay for that instead of wasting on rent. He wanted the semi to move his "home".

Glad to have you aboard !

Welcome to the site.

It sounds like you're approaching this idea logically. Tell us what you have in mind. Are you talking shor bus or long bus?
