Hello from Toronto

Hi! I recently joined so that I can absorb information from those who have gone before and converted a shortie school or shuttle bus.

At this point, I have never even been in a school bus (didn't grow up in North America), have very poor knowledge of diesel engines and have not done any major mechanics. Hopefully that will all change.

We're hoping to build a bus for my wife, young son and me to roam around North America on road trips.

I appreciate the guidance a few members of this forum have already given me -- seems like a friendly place!

If anyone in the Toronto area would be willing to give me a tour of their bus, I'd be forever in your debt.

Hello kargofab
You're not alone in being attracted to buses while not having a working knowledge of diesels or trucks/buses. Many people here are/were beginners so you're in good company.
That's a nice idea to put a bus together for your family. It's a lot of work but the payback is priceless.
