Hello, Just joined

Well Hello there everyone.
Just found this forum today. Glad I did, lots of good info here.
I lived in a skoolie back in the mid 80's thru the mid 90's in FL (about 12 years ), at the time it was a cheap way to live and since I traveled quite a bit for work, it just made since.
I eventually settled into a permanent job location and sold the "Bus" and moved into an apartment. The apartment life was not for me at all, so, I bought a house. Didn't care much for living in a house either, but did it anyway.
I have now come to a point in life where I am longing to be back in a Bus/Skoolie (as their called today). I am nearing retirement and don't want to be tied down.
I have just started researching looking for a Skoolie to convert. Alot of options out there today. Since I am in CA these days, my biggest fear is CA emissions standards on diesels. They seem to be changing all the time. I think I have learned that if a Skoolie gets classified as a motorhome, emissions may not be an issue. Still researching that.
Anyway, I think your forum willl be able to answer most of my questions, and allow me to get ideas from other members. In return, If I come accross any good info not already posted I'll let you know.

Happy Thanksgiving
