Question Hello! newbie needs advice : )

HI there! Thanks for reading.

Picked up my 1995 International Shorty a couple months ago and will be working on it bit by bit as my funds allow. It's mechanically sound, so I'm good there. Seeking advice on exterior roof treatment and interior insulation.

Roof- Gonna strip it down to metal and assess rust, Ospho, and coat.

Can anyone weigh in on Rhino eco-Coat (silver UV reflective) v. Hy tech insulating paint v. Mascoat ceramic insulating paint v. spray truck bed liner? Or another product?

should I paint the whole bus with insulating ceramic paint? does it work?

Interior insulation- Gonna remove panels and current fiberglass , assess for rust, ospho, frame for paneling, and insulate.

What is the best spray foam insulation? I want something that will protect the metal should I run into any roof leakage / condensation issues in the future.

If I use expanding foam with a rigid paneling will this increase the strength of my roof? I like to go up there read/ sunbathe and I don't want to damage or cause any leaks from walking around up there.

Thank you for taking the time to read and give me input! ;)

There is a post on here somewhere with a link to a guy who tested a bunch of white paints against ones with ceramic, the results were pretty much in favor of just using white paint. Henry's I think was tested. The actual winner of his video-test was white-paint mixed with sawdust. It looked terrible, but worked; yet none of the "insulators" made much difference above and beyond the reflective color of good old white.

On one metal support section of our bus, someone used Great Stuff before we could stop him. Then we find this. http://www.skoolie.net/forums/f13/gr...uff-10667.html that says that Great Stuff can corrode metal. So now what do we have to do? Take all he did apart, rip that Great Stuff down, clean the area, redo it correctly and cuss the whole time! Ugh! Lesson learned. Research first just as you are doing!
