Hey guys! New Skoolie

We have our bus and have gotten all the flooring up from the body. We've sanded all the rust spots and painted with rust stop. We are going to have an issue with the floor around the drivers seat because the gear shifter/transmission has bolts holding the cover down. We're stuck here because we don't want to damage any of the bolts holding the cover down. Any suggestions? This weekend we're getting all the rivets off the inside panels. Wish us luck!

Welcome to Skoolie.net
Lots of WD40 or alike, wiggle back and forth, heat, impact wrench, if you break off the bolt, drill and retap threads. Unfortunately these buses are not fresh off the assembly line.

Welcome!
Soak the bolts with PB Blaster, once a day for several days.
I prefer a 50/50 mix of acetone and automatic tranny fluid.

Yeah! I tried to add some to the post but it said upload failed. I'll try to add some. Our bus is a 1990 GMC with an 8.2 Detroit deisel. I believe 5 speed tranny. It was already used in some kind of conversion but they just used it for a fun bus not an actual living space. Much work to be done.
