Heyo from Atlanta!

Hello! I'm Andrew from Atlanta, Georgia and I am here to see how I can further my understanding of the skoolie lifestyle and construction. I'm a high school student and I want to get some tips on how to begin the buying and planning process and whether I should go to college. (jk... we'll see) I found this community through many YouTube videos and blog posts. My interest for skoolies was solidified through the Atlanta Tiny House Festival and the YouTube channel, "Rolling Vistas." I would love to get some tips and I can't wait to see what this community is like!

If it's a choice between a Skoolie or going to college, I say go to college. Now a better option might be doing both. But you can certainly learned all you asked here. Pretend like this is your first college course: Skoolie 101
Read everything you can here before asking any question you think we may have already covered. You don't know any questions we haven't covered.
What part of Atl.? I'm just north of you.

Oh it would absolutely be going to college, I'm just so eager to get started. I should definitely start a notebook of some kind. Thanks!

First thing to consider before buying a bus is whether with school and all, you will have somewhere to park and work on said bus. Tools, material money, etc.
It is not a job for the faint of heart.

My family has quite a large backyard and they are all for the idea of a bus renovation. The only problem is that our fence wouldn't fit a Type C bus unless we removed half of our neighbor's side. My dad is a mechanic hobbyist so tools are not a problem. I am absolutely up for the challenge and appreciate the advice! (I live in the Tucker-Doravile-ish area)
