Hi everyone!

I've been wanting a skoolie for close to 10 years now and finally am gonna make the jump soon. I'm in Colorado and for some reason it's been hard for me to come by short and mid sized buses out here that aren't crazy expensive (not trying to spend over 6k on a bus tbh). I'm watching a few auctions on a few sites in nearby states but am worried about getting a rusty bucket. Also, I'm fairly certain my partner thinks I'm crazy since I've been obsessively looking at buses LOL. Anyway, it's super nice to meet you all and any advice is welcome!

Colo. doesn't salt their roads so rust is not usually an issue. Some of the more remote areas have better equipt buses. Due to this Colo. buses bring a premium, but you get what you pay for.

Good point. I've heard that about the CO buses. Patience may be beneficial in that aspect vs bidding in an auction where rust may be problematic.

From where you are , local and anywhere NW of you are prime areas for rust free buses. I live in north Geogia. I went to Butte, Mt, and Beverton, Or. for 2 buses. Much less wok than some I've seen bought in the wrong area.

Nice info. Thanks. I am actually watching a shorty out NW from here that looks promising too. Some of the midwest buses I've seen sell in auction for a pretty penny have made me questioning the market because they've been so rusty
