Smile Hi - I'm new to this forum!

I just found this group of people tired of paying out the nose for mortgages and living a home-hum life - who have decided to throw boredom to the wind and buy a Schoolie and construct their new"Home on Wheels"! I find this whole idea AWESOME!!!

I am a photographer and tired of looking at the same scenery day after day. Yuck! I want to travel Our Great Country and see the beauty of it!

I love this idea of gutting and fine tuning the frame, engine, etc...of a "Well made" School Bus and Designing it totally from scratch!

Some of these buses I have been looking at are just beautiful on the inside!
I was first looking at "Tiny Houses" and then - I saw the Schoolies! Woooh, I am ready to sign up and TRAVEL!!! YES!

I am looking forward to learning more about these Schoolies and finding out which Bus is the Best to go with for the money .... and the bus's ability to withstand Travel with the least amount of Problems. (I know, I'm probably in a dream world...but a girl can dream - Yes?)

Anyhoo ~

Thanks for allowing me into your forum!

Welcome aboard!

I'd recommend reading through as many build threads and engine/transmission discussions as you can and take your time looking for a great bus to start out with.
My fist bus was an 85 Thomas with a gas Ford engine. I almost didn't get another bus after that one!

Buses are WAY more realistic and 10x cooler than any shed on a trailer!!!

Yeah, you sound like a girl with a crush if ever there was one! Read, read, read, find out about the trials and tribulations of others before you make them your own. This takes work, patience, and money. You don't want to "get married in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout", only to be one of the partial conversions that are sprinkled all over Craigslist.

Welcome to the madness! And, discount the oddball personalities. If someone sounds like a kook, she/he probably is.
