Hi there!
We are newbies! We live at the Peruvian northshore and we will try to convert a bus in a home. Wish us luck and thank you in advance for all the knowledge contained at this forum

Hi and welcome to the forum. Good luck with the conversion! I am excited to see how it develops. Have you picked out a bus yet. I have (unfortunately) never been to Peru, so I'm curious to see what sort of Buses are available down there.

Actually, a good amount of the older gassers with manual transmissions and hydraulic brakes wind up south of the border. They are used for a great many things.

OP, I'll be PM'ing you some pointers on what to look for if you haven't already purchased.

That's true, I've seen this (in Mexico, Guatemala, & Nicaragua), I love the busses of Guatemala especially, many are a great size for mountains and narrow streets and a lot of style. But Peru is south of many borders (10 to be exact if we start in the US) and one nearly uncrossable jungle (look up the "Darien Gap" for some crazy stories).



Not sure if Peru's busses are similar to those of central America or completely different, I have not been to Peru but from what I recall the modern busses in nearby Argentina and Chile--Two of Peru's southern neighbors--were similar to what you would see in Europe or Turkey. Peru is mountainous which in my experience breeds some pretty cool vehicles.
