Hi y’all

Greetings from middle Georgia!! Proud owner of a 2004 International, DT466E, Allison 3000, 15 window, high ceiling, purchased from a Southern Tennessee school district auction. Bus is in very good condition, runs fantastic, lots of power with plenty to spare. Demo and roof raise prep well underway.

I’ve been stalking the forums for quite some time and have some great ideas for the build!!

Welcome to the community. Looks like a nice bus. If you didn't know already, that is a six-speed auto limited to five-speed for skoolies, but it is possible to get sixth gear unlocked for easier highway cruising.

Just be glad it's not a Blue Bird, Blue Bird are a bit of a PITA about authorizing. IC and Thomas seem to be a bit more accommodating.

Awesome, find. Our IC floor used stainless screws (under the vinyl) and, once removed, the plywood came out in whole sheets, no force. We didn't have any rusty seat bolts either, they all came out using an impact on top and a helper with a deepwell socket underside. By the 5th seat we realized that stripping the vinyl and foam while the seat was still attached, allowed easier access to the rail side bolts. A few bolts over the tank may require leveraging the head up at an angle for the impact to spin the bolts out. Looking forward to following your build.

Great find! Can I have some of your windows if you're getting rid of them?

Also, do you happen to know the date of manufacture of your bus? My guess is it was built in 2002 although it's a 2004.
