Greetings from SC!
Im a single lady planning my retirement, looking for ideas/tips/tricks and all that stuff. I’m taking notes!!! While I can definitely drive and operate vehicles as large as mraps and ladder trucks I don't get to be in on the buying, building and maintenance. My plans are simple: to leisurely travel across the continent just myself and my critters. I’ll have special requirements for them. The goal is to visit all the State and National parks I can. I thought about buying a camper or RV at first, but with the critters in mind and stuff like that I really should just build my own setup. When I’m closer to that golden retirement date I’ll have the time to take my time and build it right. I haven’t decided if the skoolie will be the forever home or not, figured I’d just roll with the fates. Big thanks ahead of time for all the insight you’ve all shared!

Thanks for the welcome! I started as an EMT, volunteered for a local FD and got my patches, moved up to Medic and now full time EMS, also TacMedic for my county. Thanks for being family! Sometimes I think it’s harder for my family than me...

yes mam.
grew up never knowing who was or wasnt coming back home.
i went marines instead hence my address of NC and guess where?
i still work on the bases.
hope your health is well enough to fullfill your retirement dreams.
building your own skoolie is tough but in the end you know exactly what you have and a dang good idea on where and what. when something messes up.
