Hopeful Newbie

Hello!
I'm writing this on Friday March 11, 2022. My husband and I are going to look at and hopefully purchase a 2007 Ford Econoline E350 on Sunday.
The current owner has already stripped out the seats, flooring and interior walls and ceiling. She started installing a 9fa fuse box and states that since she started the install there is a battery issue. We are hoping that she just has some wires crossed or something not quite right. Any suggestions are appreciated!

make sure it has the "right" engine in it. You can read up on engines to avoid in the "mechanical and Drive Trains" section on this web site.
Good luck! Keep us posted...most of us are just a tad bit nosy...

No bus today 😔

Well
We did not purchase the bus today.
Both sets of stairs need completely redone with new metal, she ran a little rough after we got the battery charged enough to start her, wire mess everywhere and took her for a test drive down to the closet gas station and she had some shifting issues.
That being said, we were able to measure the interior with it being completely stripped of seats and determined that is the model we want for our project. 😊
If you know anyone in Indiana looking for quite a project let me know and I'll give contact information.

Well, it's not a complete loss if you were able to get some info you needed. Like Barnyard said, read up a little on drivetrains and known issues before you jump in.

walking away was absolutely a great decision. There are plenty of buses out there so you can be patient and get a good platform for your project. It's better to pay a bit more for a solid vehicle. Or, you'll likely end up paying even more in time, labor and materials to fix a bus with a list of issues.
Keep us posted.
