How to Insurance??

Hello Skoolie World!

We are Birdie Venture from Florida, USA. Trying to insure our skoolie to drive around at the moment but not sure which insurance company is best to go with. Any opinions?

Thanks!

Welcome Aaron,

The first place that I would check for insurance is your current auto insurance carrier. We use State Farm and it was no problem.

If that does not work out for you, a number of folks here have gone to Progressive's commercial division. Some have had success some not.

I would also suggest that you read through the posts from other members in this section and see what their experience was.

Good luck.

S.

RV/Motorhome insurance

Good Sam Agency - Clev, OH at 888-772-1175 - got a firm written quote in 1 phone call.

National General/(old GMAC)

RV America 888-803-5999

or call Progressive who told me no way, but they were kind enough to provide me 13 local possibilities with independent guys.

try AllState, State Farm & Farm Bureau too.

Progressive was best for both of my buses.

Just make sure you call progressive commercial, not the regular progressive auto insurance

After calling around for 2 days we registered our bus with Progressive. The magic wording was 'a bus that will transport under 15 passengers'. It was set up within 10 minutes of making the call.

Make sure you call Progressive Commercial, not Progressive. They are operated separately. The regular Progressive will not touch a bus, but Progressive Commercial has insured both of my buses as Personal Use buses with no issues at all.
