Howdy Folks! Chateau Brooklyn checking in!
Hey y'all,
This is our first time posting to this website. We'd been snooping around though, gathering info. This website has been an invaluable resource in trying to make a semi-informed decision in buying a bus. Or at the very least not coming off as a totally clueless green horns when we did.
I'm happy to say that we did buy our bus last week. It's down in PA patiently waiting for its new plates and registration so we can drive it back to the Big Apple.
The bus in question is a 48 passenger 2003 International 3800 with a T444e engine. We would have liked to hold out for a DT but time and money being as they are (generally in short supply) we finally settled on this one. It's got 100000 miles on it so we're hoping that with a little love and care we can drive this thing to the moon and back. We haven't settled on a name yet; but for now she's called Jaylin, the Pittsburgh Diva. The elements of the name mostly come from the night we spent at the strip club down the street from the bus lot the night before we bought it.
We're planning on doing the whole conversion thing, complete with a roof deck, hot tub, sauna, hammam, full day spa, fitness center, pool table, and if we can fit it a bed or something. We also think a cooler for the beer we will drink while we wait for the mechanic to come help us change a tire!
Anyhow well post pictures of our trials and tribulations.
I do want to thank everyone who posts on this joint, it's been a total life saver for a couple of noobs like us, who quite honestly didn't know a lick about skoolies other than how bad ass they were.
Happy trails y'all!
