Howdy from NC

Hi everyone

I'm Gary. My wife Beth and I are in central North Carolina in the booming metropolis of Snow Camp.

In January we bought a '98 Carpenter with a 7.3 International Navstar from a school system auction in FL. For $1200 (plus $120 in fees) we got a rig with only 86,000 miles on it. Didn't use a drop of oil on the drive back to NC and the coolant runs crystal clear.

We named it The 198 and started in on the conversion right away. At this date we have the exterior painted and half of the new subfloor installed.

Still working through our timeline regarding titling it in NC. We might need to go ahead and title it as a bus for now, but we hope to get it to the point soon where we can title it as a "House Car".

From time-to-time I'll post our progress on here, but Beth is doing a fantastic job on our Instagram is you want to follow us there. (@the198bus)

Great to be a part of this community!

Howdy,
From coastal Carolina. Swansboro.
What part of central Carolina?
My new job has me all over the state and living in motel rooms so if you are close enough to one of my jobs or motels then I might be able to trick my trucks gps, time sheet tracking collar, into being able to give you a hand every now and then if needed.

Hey Jolly Roger

We're about 15 mi south of Graham/Burlington. Halfway between Graham and Siler City. Thanks for the offer of help! We'll keep that in mind.
