I was planning on picking up the bus on Wednesday evening then got to thinking about what they mentioned in the ad, "dash lights do not work most of the time." So I planning on picking it up on Saturday if they will let me. So I wont be driving home without visible guage.
Does anyone know where to get schematics for the electrical. I figure if the work some of the time it is a loose wire or maybe a short but i figure if it was a short then fuse would be blowing which it might be doing. Any ideas where the dash light fuses are located. I have not had a chance to dig around the dash yet.
Again thanks for any help and advice.

In my BlueBird, there is a fuse-panel on the front side of the driver's dash assembly, facing the window glass. Dash assembly is plastic, fuse panel cover is metal and held in with screws. Fuses are under panel cover.
Yours is a few years younger, though....
Central State Bus clued me in to the location of mine, if no one here can help.

I believe the dash lights work with the parking/running lights. Possible bad dimmer in the headlight switch (fairly common). Also could be failed solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board (very common, they can be resoldered fairly easily).
I replaced all the dash lights with LED versions a couple months ago. Gives the lights a slightly different greenish tint, but I'm fine with it.

I did not think of the dimmer thanks. I was thinking of replacing the lights with LEDs already. Would you happen to remember the bulb size?

They *ARE* polarity sensitive, (so if installed backwards, they won't light up, just turn 'em 180 if so). Note, I did *NOT* push the bulbs all the way into the bases, I did not want to obscure the "side" LED's.

Well I picked up the bus today. On a straight flat hi way I did get up to 65 mph. Then went to the car wash to give it a bath. We then brought it home and started to clean and remove a few seats in the back to have some open space. We have found some gum, mini peanut butter cups, ring pops, and a 35 cents. This was a youth ministry bus. The neighbor own the street who is a diesel mechanic was on his way home and had to stop and check it out. He was even crawling under checking out the engine and transmission. He said he thinks it is an Allison transmission. He pointed out all the different filters. I thought the coolant filter is cool. He said to make sure to change that regularly so it doesn't rust.
The dash lights seem to work fine so far.
It took me about 25-30 minutes to get the church stickers of using a "smart eraser pad" from astro pneumatic tool company. It is made to remove pen striping from cars. It was only about $16 from the local car paint supply store. I will post some pictures under profile tomorrow.

My bus is governed at 60 and I’m not sure I would want to go faster. I feel like 70-75mph would get sketchy in my opinion. I was thinking the same thing though when I first bought my bus. I was looking into engine mods and new trans but I like slow and low..low gears help with those big mountain passes and hauling cars!

Sorry I never replied to your post. Yes the retreads are just on th e rear. I do plan on replacing the front tires in the next few months because they are over 10 years old and I hear that us bad. There is not any cracking in the side walls so I figure I have a little bit of time.

I did find out it is an AT 545. I am researching a transmission. Upgrade to a 5 or 6 speed transmission in the next couple of years. I want to get it converted to an RV first.
