Hello. Here just looking and decided too join up. I'm a retired heavy equipment mechanic welder, and operator. The wife and I have a 1979 Bluebird 33FC named Goldy, with a 3208 and MT643 Allison. We live in Illinois, near La Salle-Peru. I'll chime in if I can help.

Edit; Figured I should mention Goldy is a motor coach, she can't help it she was born that way. So try not to hold it against her.

That sounds like a Wanderlodge. I looked at a couple of the 80's rear Engine models before committing to converting our bus. Those are great machine's when maintained!!! Welcome to the forum.

We've had a couple Wanderlodge owners on here, most of us like to think of them as skoolies straight from the factory.

I'd love to see some pictures. I had a chance to buy a late 70s FC Wanderlodge not to long ago for $4K but ultimately decided to pass due to several issues (massive interior mold, motor would've need a complete top end rebuild, etc).

The Wanderlodges were built really well for their time, just that the interiors were super dated (shag carpeting EVERYWHERE, lol).

We have the SHAG! Yes Goldy is a Wanderlodge. Goldy did come with a few problems. But she is mobile and getting improved as we go along.
