I'd do it in a NY heartbeat. Put the outlets up after doing a good washout at a dump station. Nothing beats being a member of the Clampett family. . .

DIY Vessel Sink From a Salad Bowl

Hi all,

It's been a few weeks, but I finally got going on my bus bathroom ... and put together a super-small sink made from a salad bowl. I've seen a few sinks like this one so wanted to try the method ... and I really liked it.

Here's my video, which is the 25th in my bus-build series.

Take care,
Spencer

That's hard to top. Looks great too.

Now somebody's going to have to get a marimba or something to make a sink out of to beat yours.

Battery Monitor in the Prison Bus

I added a simple battery monitor to my bus ... only to learn that my batteries could use some juice

DIY Lights on the Prison Bus Skoolie

New lights on the bus, and they give off a nice mellow glow

Looking good Spence.

Get the guard on that table saw, no reason to have it off for those cuts. Blade is unnecessarily high. Can you tell I was OSHA enforcer for the cabinet shop?

I use a Biesemeyer Blade Guard - never needs to come-off, raise it out of the way.

Safety!

Ah yes, safety. That guard must be around here somewhere ...

You had the blade at the right height for cutting plastic (and plywood). Keeping it high reduces break-out on the rear.

But yes ... guard

Generally only ferrous metals "spark" when you cut or grind them.

Naw, that won't reduce tear-out, and there really isn't that issue with plastic. Fast rpm, fine tooth. Use a dry lubricant- Zeplon is good.

Looks like you are ready for a desktop milling machine. You'd love it. Keep up the great work.

And those lights aren't Bulletproof until we test them....

This we agree on

I'd still keep the blade high for plastic. It keeps it in contact with the material for a shorter time ... but I'm not arguing about it, it's just a view.

Oh, I don't care about the plastic and more about the fingers. Lowering the blade has nothing to do with quality of cut, just safety.

Shorter time? Lol, that is funny.

Watch this guy put his finger into table saw, while running, on purpose.

I almost bought a Sawstop some years ago. As well as that blade brake device, it's an excellent saw.

Then a Delta Unisaw with 54" Biesmeyer Fence fell into my lap

I remember seeing this at a trade show when it first came out, and wondering just how big the inventor's balls were when it came time to prove the concept.

I used to work with a guy that had his fingers saved by this device.....not just once, but twice over a 5 year period. I *think* he was fired after the second occurrence.
