New Kitchen Cabinets on my Prison Bus

Posting to this site is funny for me, because I tend to get the feeling that all of my posts are hidden ... or ignored ... but certainly not seen. And yet here I go posting again: this time is a video about my DIY skylights! Oh how they change the feeling and mood inside the bus.

That's how you get out the escape hatch if you're 6'?I'm 5'8", bad shoulders. I'm going to give it a try, but I think it might be difficult. But not to worry, you'd be amazed how easy that would be if the bus was on fire. 
Nice work on the skylights and your use of what you had available. Looked like 3/8" Lexan and while way overkill, certainly won't hurt. I plan on the same skylights, but would like to see a test of how much difference tinted Lexan makes over clear. I'm a stickler for aesthetics so I would mask the opening of the piece and scuff and paint the border black so as to hide all the sealer work that shows on yours. I'm going to add a Fantastic fan vent in the middle of my back one for added circulation. Like you I will decide what all to do to the front one.

Tinted would be great! Awesome idea. Maybe I can stick on a film .... detail work is key, so I’ll have to tune them up

Lexan breathes so you can't use window film tint on it. It starts to bubble up rapidly.
IMHO no more than 1/8" Lexan is needed if it is true Lexan polycarbonate. It's suppose to stop a .22 bullet and won't crack. I keep hearing about Lexan skylights that cracked and I find it hard to believe. You can bend it in half and it won't break. We were required to run it as windshields on our race cars and it was only 1/8"
When you get ready to paint the roof, mask off just the opening of the skylight and scuff and paint that with the roof. Your roof will be one color with a clear hole in it.
If need be, I'm imagining a styrofoam plug that will tightly fit the hole and then covered in what ever the rest of the ceiling looks like so all you see is the trim rin on the ceiling.

Now go on you tube and search for picking that Master lock.
Also, that lock and hasp is as only secure as the 3 carriage bolt heads on the left hasp that evaporate in less than a minute with a battery grinder.
This is known because I had the same setup on a storage container and it took me less than a minute to grind the carriage bolt heads off with a Dewalt battery grinder..
When the hasp was reinstalled allthread was welded into the hasp and ground flush so nothing to grind off to defeat it. That Master lock is still junk IMHO.
