I'm new, looking to learn from those who know more than I.
Which is just about everyone, when it comes to buses. Finally put the money together, to make our first bus purchase. Frightened I'll make a mistake.
Been lurking the forums for a while. Have learned just enough to get myself in trouble. Hope for some help here, to steer me clear of the obvious mistakes.
Thanks much...
David

Welcome aboard; congratulations on your new bus. Folks (me?) are gonna want to know where you are and what you bought. And don't worry you'll get plenty of "help" here; sometimes more than you can stand, just like any family.

Honestly this is the bus I'd buy if I wanted a full size. You won't find many like it.

That's about as good as a "skoolie" gets.

OP, I think I misread your post; sorry. You are ready to take the plunge and are looking for the right bus, yes?
If so, have you considered this sweet, sweet, Crown Supercoach?
EDIT: Damn it; I just clicked on ECCB's link to the very same bus... I'm going back to bed...

The biggest mistake you can make in the skoolie process is buying the wrong bus in haste. Fate has given you an extra two months to get things right.

Yeah, take your time. You don’t need a 35 foot lawn ornament.

Post any potential buses here so we can advise on condition. Don't look anywhere in the north east quarter of the country

That hurts, my bus is from the N.E...
and yeah, it has rust...
It's really about the level of maintenance you can determine, and the condition of the individual bus you're looking at.
In my case, even though the bus was FREE, I went and looked at it first, before fully committing to taking it. (it wasn't running, had no batteries, but the rust isn't that bad... )
