Talking It's my new whip

I like it (This link goes to the pictures of my bus on imgur)

I looked into buying RVs for years. Literally decades. I like to paint. I also love to go fishing, and I want to be mobile, with a studio in my RV.

Everything I looked at didn't suit my needs. RVs are built for vacations, not for living and working in. I have a lot of VERY specific needs that I was never able to find in an RV, even the cool Blue Bird ones and the 5th wheels that I loved otherwise. Everything I saw, I knew I would have to tear it apart and rebuild it.

I ended up buying a schoolbus to convert. We're still in the demo phase. My family plans to move into the bus full time in 2021. We are already living in a 'tiny home' situation. My landlord died of covid. A friend of mine has graciously lent us her attic and I have a powered parking/build site for my bus at a maker space.

yeah, things have been a real big cluster you-know-what but I've at least got a decent shell to move my family into, once I'm able to get the darn conversion started. 2020 has been the biggest mess. I lost a lot of relatives this year.

It's been a nightmare. I feel like I have spent half the year packing up dead peoples' houses.

damn I'm sure sorry to hear that. I know its been a rough year for a lot of us.
I've not had a good year at all, either. Hoping to channel some creative and positive energy into my bus and hope for a much better 2021. We can hope! lol

Congrats! Definitely one reason I'm interested in a skoolie instead of an RV is building it myself. Best of luck to you!

Congratulations!

That is a nice looking BIG bus. It should be easy to make a home for your family and a studio. Have fun.
