Hello,
I have a 1957 IHC Wayne Works school bus that I need windshield glass.

Can anyone help me find glass?

your wayne...

is the front glass curved? If you have curved glass front windshields... you are pretty much out of luck. You will have to look and compare and see if you can cut down some other windshield. I saw a bus with front windshields sell for around $1200 that had two good front glass and I thought that was a bargain.

I have seen one with rebuilt window opening that now take glass from what looks like a superior bus.

Thanks William, Yeah I may have to do a new windshield header for something newer and available. The quote so far for new glass made is 5K...ouch!

an option

I think if you looked long enough and did a thorough job of it, there are other bus or motorhome windshields that could be cut down and make a set for a wayne. I dont know of anyone that has done the home work yet. It is possible to cut curved laminated glass, but time consuming to do a good job and you might have to cut more than one to get it right. Once you figure out which one and how to get it done, you are likely to be able to sell windows to other wayne owners. or if you re work the sills you might be able to sell a few to other owners.

yea, 5 thousand is kinda what i had figured for one glass.

No I did not, other than having replacement glass made for me. That cost was way too much!
So the 57 International bus has gone to live its life in a "Mad Max" town called Uranium Springs.

Another thing to consider is you may want to wait until dead last to do the windshield because i'd hate for you to pay 5k for it, and then crack it again on accident as you are doing body work on it in other places.
