Looking to Get Questions Answered

Hello!

I've been interested in schoolies for a year or so but haven't really gotten into researching till now. I'm a junior in high school and live in Ithaca, NY (anyone near me?). My plan, which waits to be approved, is to buy and convert a bus to use as my "dorm" in college. Does that seem plausible? I'd appreciate any information about schoolies and especially about schoolie life.

Thanks!

Do you plan on finding a spot for it to sit permanently?

Are you going to have hookups?

I was thinking semi-permanently. During the semester I would commute to school via alternate vehicle and take my bus home on holidays. I simply don't know enough to fully formulate a plan.

Whats your budget?

Here is someone successfully doing what you’re talking about in the most cost-effective way possible.

Do not look for a bus within 750 miles of where you are now. Most important piece of advice I can give you.

This is a major concern when owning a bus. Many boat storage places rent to RV's. Some allow work on property, some don't. I'm glad I don't have to deal with this, it could be a deal breaker on owning a bus.
