Just try to figure out if you are the kind of person who would rather use it or work on it. They all take a combination of both, but if you do it the "right way" you might give up long before you ever camp in it.

I had no idea CVS sold school busses!

I believe that if you favor the "like to work on it" side more than the "want to use it" side, you might have a better chance of actually exercising the "want to use it" side.

Well, it will definitely be usable at some point, runs like a champ already, i kind of lucked out, it was almost getting ready to be shipped to south america for missionary work. I believe the seats were already pulled at one time and they were using it for some kind of live in something.. i've already got a majority of them out, really debating on tackling the floor the right way or just going over it.. it's a tennessee bus, it shouldn't be that rusty right? :

and i wish CVS sold buses, it would have been a lot easier. i didn't know it had air brakes until i got there to get it. it's bad to say it but i had to watch a couple youtube videos to make sure i didn't fly to my fiery death off a mountain getting it home.. but it's safe, i'm safe, everybody's safe, i made it.. lol..

i'm still not sure if i need a CDL or not, it's 25,500lbs. I guess it's not really that pressing of a matter right now, considering i'm tearing it apart... but eventually i guess i'll need to figure that out..

At that weight you should ought be good for no CDL requirement. Pay to get it officially scaled before doing you build, to ensure remaining below the 26K maximum weight.

You have to look at the GVWR tag inside the bus to see what it is rated at, that determines if you need a CDL, but air brakes usually makes a CDL mandatory in some states for non commercial use
