MN newbie

Hello-
Is it possible to be a "newbie", even after 21+ years as a school bus driver and 8 years running my own business, Bus Maintenance Services (providing basic mobile maintenance for our district with 50 buses)??

I am finally ready to start the adventure of converting a 2001 Bluebird with the 444 engine/545 trans. The bus had been in our school fleet since new, and it currently has 250k. Structurally it's sound, but crossmembers are getting pretty rough, and body is showing signs of MN winters! Last summer the seats were removed, and we did use it for camping 1 weekend with a hodge-podge of furniture, etc. I am still undecided whether to put in a shower, but a toilet is a must. Some of the windows will be removed. This bus will have a rear queen bed. The rest will be decided as I go- I did get an old RV for parts, such as stove, water tank, propane tank, etc., so I do have some options.
I check in once in a while on here, and check what others have going on. Of course, this is where I get better ideas!

Nice to have you.
I'm sure you have plenty of stories about driving buses for so long!

Welcome

Make sure to start a build thread soon....even a naked bus is better than no bus pictures
