New and in the overwhelmed phase and loving it

My name is Rob, I go by RobOfYork. My other half Danielle and I are going to buy a school bus in the very near future for full time living.

We are currently in the overwhelmed phase. So taking deep breaths a lot.

I am an digital artist / programmer. Odd combo but it works. We are looking for something my other half can do on the road for income. She is heavy in to crafts and has just started cosplay.

Enough about us. We are looking forward to this new adventure.

Glad to have found this forum.

Welcome from a fellow programmer! Is the "overwhelmed phase" the one before or after you bought a rig?

Happy to have you, don't be afraid to ask questions, or boast of your progress with pictures!

Welcome to the site ROY.

The best advice I can give you and your partner is: don't jump on the first bus you see until/unless you thoroughly check it out both mechanically and body wise.

Not sure what part of the country you're in, but try to locate one that has not lived its life in the nations "Rust Belt".

Too many noobies get trapped in financial distress after buying a bus that is in need of serious mechanical fixing, or is rotted out and unsafe for road travel.

Good luck, and as kazetsukai has said, post pics of what you found if you get into the skoolie lifestyle/hobby...

The one before we purchase the bus. Working out what size we really need now.

True. It is finally starting to feel real. Just working out the logistics is driving us a little crazy. Where we are now, we don't have a place to park the bus while doing the build out. So we are looking at options. Rent a place to park it, move to a small home in the country while building out.etc....

Welcome to the neighborhood. Go to the UserCP and fill out your profile with your location. It will help answer your questions easier knowing where you're from and what bus you get.
